Bishop Dewayne D. Sherden

Bishop Sherden’s intense determination to implement God’s life would describe his character. He was called to preach at the age of 18 under the late Pastor Lockwood of New Evergreen Baptist Church. At the age of 27 under the leadership of Pastor Carl E. Isaac of First Morning Star Baptist Church, Bishop Sherden was called to pastor The Greater Jordan River Missionary Baptist Church, now known as Christian Life Community Church.

He is a devoted husband, father, anointed pastor, businessman, leader, mentor, and humanitarian. He has been anointed to speak Faith and Prosperity into the lives of people. He has committed his life to achieving integrity and excellence through biblical living. Bishop D. Sherden strongly believes that any person who is willing to “Walk by Faith”, and trust God will achieve their dreams and desires.  

Bishop Sherden has been the Pastor of Christian Life Community Church of Houston since the year of 1992 . In 2001, God blessed Bishop D. Sherden as the Founder of Christian Life Community Church of Baytown. He has opened one of many Patty Gal Christian Learning Center and Daycares. He is the President and Founder of the Family Stabilizers, “The Man-The Anchor of the Family”, CEO of Sherden Enterprise, member of the Houston Metropolitan Ministers Council, and an ordained Senior Religious Advisor for the State of Texas. He is also a member and recording secretary for the Northeast Ministerial Council, and he serves on the Citizen’s Constables Advisory Board Precinct 3, Harris County, and is a member of the Baytown Chamber of Commerce. In 2009, Pastor Dewayne D. Sherden was elected to the office of Bishop by Chief Consecrator-Apostle Richard R. Taylor, Co-Consecrator Bishop E.L. Usher, and Co-Consecrator Bishop Hose Lane.

Bishop Sherden has answered the call of God to empower people to walk by Faith and not by Sight. Bishop Sherden is a man after God’s own heart. He is committed to plant the Word of God in the hearts of people so they can walk in victory and “Rise in Faith”.
